Art-VR does not provide a mental health service or assist in crisis. If you (or someone you know) is in immediate danger, phone 999, or attend your local Emergency Department.

People of all ages, including children, who are in crisis or concerned family and loved ones can now call 111, select the mental health option and speak to a trained mental health professional.

If you are in the UK and are seeking professional help for mental health support in the UK, here are some free resources you can consider:

Shout: For confidential 24/7 text support, text “SHOUT” to 85258.

Mind Support Line: Call Mind’s support line for a safe space to talk about your mental health. Trained advisors can assist you and connect you with specialist support if needed. They’re available Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm (except bank holidays).

Samaritans: You can reach Samaritans 24/7 by calling 116 123 (free from any phone). They provide a listening service for anyone who wants to talk.

SANEline: If you’re experiencing a mental health problem or supporting someone else, call SANEline at 0300 304 7000 (available daily from 4.30pm to 10pm).

Papyrus HOPELINEUK: If you’re under 35 and struggling with suicidal feelings, call 0800 068 4141 (24/7), email pat@papyrus-uk.org, or text 07786 209 697.

Switchboard: For LGBTQ+ support, call Switchboard at 0300 330 0630 (10am to 10pm daily) or use their webchat service.

C.A.L.L. (Wales): If you’re in Wales, call C.A.L.L. at 0800 132 737 (24/7) or text ‘help’ followed by a question to 81066.

Beat Helpline: Beat provides helplines for people of all ages, offering support and information about eating disorders. You can call the helpline for free from any phone within the UK. The lines are open from 3pm to 8pm, Monday to Friday.

BDD Foundation: The BDD Foundation aims to advance education and understanding of BDD. They provide support, research information, and awareness about the condition. While they are based in the UK, their reach is international. You can find more information on their website.
