Sarah Wilkinson, BA (Hons), PGCertHE
Sarah Wilkinson’s journey to founding Art VR is a testament to her resilience, empathy, and unwavering commitment to supporting those in need.
Born from her own struggles and the heart-wrenching experiences of those around her, Art VR is more than just a business—it’s a lifeline, a beacon of hope for those silently battling their inner demons.
With a career spanning nearly two decades across business, charity, sports, and events management, Sarah’s path has been anything but conventional. From working at Walt Disney World, Florida to fundraising and granting wishes for life long, and terminally ill supporters at the legendary Manchester City Football Club to taking 74 children with life limiting illness’ to Orlando with Destination Florida Children’s Charity; her professional journey has been marked by a deep-seated desire to make a difference. But it was in the quiet moments, when the stadium lights dimmed and the cheers faded, that Sarah found her true calling.
As an educator, Sarah doesn’t just teach—she inspires. Lecturing at prestigious national and international universities, she has seen firsthand the pressure and anxiety that plagues her students and resonates with them. Everyone deserves a safe haven, even if it’s virtual.
Sarah, a North West Enterprise Winner, Manchester MBA Challenge Finalist, Pitch UK Business Award finalist—speaks to her business acumen, her success fuelled by a relentless work ethic and a belief in pushing boundaries.
But it’s her heart, her raw understanding of what it means to “fake a smile and pretend everything is ok,” that truly sets Art VR apart.
Art VR isn’t just a platform; it’s a revolution in mental health support. It’s Sarah’s way of saying, “I see you, I understand, and you’re not alone.” By harnessing the power of virtual reality, she’s created a sanctuary where users can escape, heal, and find strength.
Sarah’s vision for Art VR goes beyond individual therapy. She’s on a mission to transform organisational culture, advocating for early intervention and destigmatisation of mental health issues. Her approach is holistic, innovative, and deeply personal.
In a world that often prioritises profit over people, Sarah stands as a beacon of compassion. Art VR is rapidly gaining traction not just because of its technological innovation, but because of the authenticity and empathy at its core.
Sarah, isn’t just an entrepreneur or an event management expert—she’s a friend to those who are struggling in silence.
Everyone has their own story of diversity, despair and resilience. Through Art VR, Sarah hopes to save lives, one virtual reality session at a time.
Her story reminds us that our greatest challenges can become our most powerful purpose, and that with passion, perseverance, and a little bit of technology, we can create a world where everyone has access to their own personal sanctuary.
